BrightFarm Systems

BrightFarm Systems is a wonderful commercial design consultancy based in New York City. It delivers technical services and product design for rooftop greenhouses and urban agriculture projects worldwide.

I was really thrilled to be chosen by the team at BrightFarm to design and build its new website. It was a lovely project to be involved in, not just for its design challenge, but for what BrightFarm are about: bringing environmentally sustainable agriculture to urban spaces. Issues close to my own heart.

The work began by working together to develop a site structure and design concept for the site, creating a simple, architecturally inspired look and feel that puts the focus on the inspiring imagery that characterises BrightFarm’s work.

I’ve deployed and customised an easy to use, open source content management system called Textpattern to manage the site’s content and to deliver its project gallery features. BrightFarm staff can manage all site content using Textpattern including case study galleries and the site’s navigation.

What I did: Information Architecture, User interface design, Content management system build.
